Saturday, August 30th 2014 – Golf Misfits invade High Point Golf Club in Montague, NJ.
This is going to be a day-trip golf outing, not the typical misfits trip. I have times booked for 3 foresomes at 1:00, 1:10 and 1:20, and I already have a handful of commitments. We would love for as many people as possible to join us, and I can book more tee times if I need to.
This course looks like a ton of fun (tough, but fun). There are a lot of forced water carries, and there are bound to be plenty of wet balls (you’re sick, stop laughing). The cost is under $50 per person and the facilities are great – bar, restaurant, patio dining, live music. We will be showing up early and plan on hanging out after the round.

LODGING UPDATE:
I did some digging, and there are really no good places to stay near the course in Jersey. However, just across the river in Milford (Poconos) Pennsylvania there are a bunch of nice inns. You would end up only being about 10 minutes away from the course.

Just a bit too far for a day trip for me, and I’ve already used up all my overnight golf passes with the Mrs. this year. Maybe next time. Surprised you didn’t look at Ballyowen up in that neighborhood?
This was about a third of the cost to book a group of 12-20, and the facilities seemed like a great place for lunch before and dinner afterwards. I hope you can make it next time.
